Now I gotta start buggin’ em’ for more pics. Only got the one. Wasn’t gonna make another post until the 9th, just to prove myself wrong, but some things are more important that than Pootin‘s little war of aggression.
All Together Again!
They scooped Francie at DIA this morning. Good thing she wasn’t trying to travel earlier in the week.
Christmas in Sweden
I guess they teach the basic stuff first in law school like everywhere else. Seems Francie is learning the “run out the clock” legal tactic. There’s no statute of limitations for the Photo Album, so here they are, just in time for Valentine’s day!
Finally Met Vic
Francie pretty much disappeared from Colorado when she left for Plymouth State. But there were occasional visits either way over the Plymouth years until the pandemic hit and ruined everything. After 16 months, she finally made it home with Victor this time. It’ll be a short Thanksgiving week visit while they work over the Internet from here. Vic’s looking to get started in the finance industry and Francie has law school acceptance letters coming in. They got a couple hours to climb around on the rocks down in Boulder yesterday.
Partners In Crime
Let’s hope it’s at least the white-collar type. Francie starts law school in the fall, so maybe they won’t have much use for lawyers. They saved my bacon once.
Back in Boston…
Francie ‘n Vic remind me of what feasting used to be – burning calories like they’re going out of style!
One Last Time
Francie left a trail of these things there. Way to go, Liebchen!
I was looking forward to reflecting a re-write of the Women’s Volleyball record book here by now, but Pandemic said no. That’s OK. The stats she put up last season as a junior will probably stand for quite awhile.
President's List Again
Francie seems to have a knack for consistently earning academic and athletic accolades. She’s also starting a new job driving for an Amazon delivery contractor today. I get tired just thinking about all the stuff this girl’s getting into. We’re glad to have her home after the little Coronavirus exile in Sarasota, where she spent the remainder of the semester after spring break in a Florida retirement condo community with her boyfriend and half the hockey team.
Way to Go!
Looks like the kid knocked out another academic accolade:
Kid's Still on the Roll
I haven’t tracked it closely, but I’m pretty sure Francie has been excelling academically every semester since day one. President’s List is best-of-the-best at PSU. Nice job liebchen!
Xmas in Sweden, 2019
Daughter #2 is across the pond for Xmas this year. I’ll update her photo page for this little expedition, as new pics show up…
G'bye Francie, Hello Tanner
2019 Volleyball Season in the Books
The Panthers had their best run on record, but came up short against UMass Boston in the LEC final. I cannot say enough about how well impressed I am with this entire group including the coaching staff, the facility support folks, media group, fans and a simply amazing group of girls. Props to everyone for a banner year!
We are all so proud of Francie for being one of the stand-outs on a winning team like this. Numbers aren’t everything in sports, and Francie showed she can hold up both ends of the elite player role last season. Plymouth State Women’s Volleyball is set for another record run next year.
Good-looking group of PSU athletes we got, huh?
Total Victory is 1 Match Away!
Plymouth State Women’s volleyball is just amazing this season They knocked off Eastern Connecticut yesterday to earn home court advantage in the final. In preparation for next year’s undefeated run, the Panthers will take the undisputed Little East Conference title this year against the University of Massachusetts tomorrow.
“A service error stopped the run, however, and the Panthers would maintain the lead, closing out the win on an emphatic kill down the line by Shaffer.”
I’m already looking forward to the 2020 season. The Phenom from Frederick earned LEC Offensive POW twice this year. I think that number is going to go up next year! But 1st the LEC…
350 Kills
PSU Women’s volleyball is on the verge of a new school record this year, just like I predicted. Francie stood out as the only Panther selected All Conference 1st Team, ending the regular season 20 shots ahead of the next best hitter. She was 2nd in total points, and ranked #4 in kills per set.
PSU eliminated Southern Maine in the 1st round of the LEC Tournament today. Once again, Francie slammed down the winning kill. That’s my girl!
LEC Almost Locked
Plymouth State tightened their grip on the Little East defeating conference rival Keene State 3-2 in a hard-fought match Wednesday evening. Francie scored a personal record high 22 kills. Maybe we’ll be seeing some new stuff in the women’s volleyball record book after this season. OPW 2 weeks ago.
The PSU media moguls were gracious enough to provide some video clips:
Aaaaand a few photos:
