Another Vape Review
The Utilian Bubbler coupled with a Crafty+ earned Ultimate Vape Rig accolades a couple months ago. That thing is one impressive little piece of glass. The design effectively renders it a 2-stage device in an amazingly compact package. This feature makes filling a little iffy, until you get the trick. It’s paired with the new Davinci IQc in this review. The Davinci’s conduction heater design gave me a little unexpected learning curve. Unlike mentioned in that last review, the Davinci can be harnessed with a Utilian.
I bought an early Davinci years ago as my 3rd or 4th choice back around the time when I started with the weed for my arthritis. They certainly are quality, well-made units, but I didn’t like it then due to an apparent lack of airflow and ended up gifting it to a friend. Now I know what I was doing wrong – it’s all about the bowl/oven. The Davinci has an elongated tubular bowl design, so if you get it packed even a little, airflow is restricted. The real trick making it work well with a bubbler is to crack open the oven lid while hitting it. Conduction vapes just tend to have slower flow by design for whatever reasons that may entail. The thing I really like about the Davinci tho, is it seems to run to full temp on high, producing copious amounts of thick vapor. That is a drawback on the Crafty+ – doesn’t get hot enough to boil all the CBD, if that’s what’s in there.
…Leading to the next important point on the IQc: It gets warm. Although not really necessary, I like using a whip with these things. The good brand-name stuff is probably safe, but there have been episodes of cheap/knockoff vape hardware overheating and even blowing up in people’s faces due to battery issues. Regardless, anything extending the air path helps with cooling. The brass connector on this one came about just recently after I broke the first Utilian when it slipped off the end of the whip. ;-(

Local governments often resort to poisoning, to the chagrin of environmental groups. The Prairie Dogs actually created a flight safety issue at Buckley Air National Guard Base when I was stationed there with the Air Force back in the early 80s. Dedicated Dog-Lovers occasionally muster moving campaigns. We’re going the natural predator route in Frederick, at least at our place.
I’ve seen hawks pull them up from time-to-time, but Boots is kinda gimpy and slow, due to a run-in with Jax early on. He tries tho, and is often seen following Tigger about, trying to catch on. It is a stain on our history. It is a dishonor to all those who have sacrificed and died in service of our democracy.” One commentator said in those three hours, he wasn’t the President of the United States, he was the leader of an insurrection to overthrow the U.S. government.

In late October 2020, knowing they were about to lose the election, presidential advisor Steve Bannon revealed Trump’s “Facts Don’t Matter” game plan. From the very beginning this was a premeditated plot to stage a coup to overturn the election. On January 6 Bannon was at the riot command center at the Willard Hotel with a host of other disgraced Trump advisors as they coordinated attack plans. White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows appears to have been the conduit to Trump.

Trump decided that he needed a mob in D.C. on January 6 to stop the counting of Electoral College votes as he became more obsessed with overturning the election. None of his fake claims of election fraud were getting any traction as his losses in court piled up. “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild,” he tweeted to summon his followers to Washington on the day Congress would meet to certify Biden’s victory.

Former Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Matthews, appearing in person at last night’s hearing, testified senior Trump aides tried to get him to call off the attack. He refused each time. His tweet attacking Mike Pence was, as she said, “like pouring gasoline on the fire.”
As the rioters ransacked the Capitol shouting “Hang Mike Pence,” the Secret Service struggled to ensure Pence’s safety as they moved him to another part of the Capitol. This is a recording of those discussions.
The committee also shared a recording telling the story of how dire things had become at the Capitol with the Secret Service. A White House security official recounted what was heard over radio traffic as Secret Service agents began to fear for their own lives. At one point the rioters came within five feet of Pence and his family and agents protecting them.

Pat Cipollone, former White House counsel, told the committee about the many attempts to get Trump to intervene to call off the rioters and stop the attack. Aides and family members repeatedly asked him to act. Each time he said no as he relished press coverage of the chaos he had unleashed.

We heard a shocking recording of rioters discussing what to do after Trump tweeted to respect Capitol police. As to the members of Congress being hunted, rioters proclaimed “There is no safe place for these motherfuckers.”
Matthew Pottinger, a former deputy director of National Security told the committee that Trump’s actions that day put the national security of the United States at risk. He said the Capitol attack “emboldened our enemies by helping give them ammunition to feed a narrative that our system of government doesn’t work, that the United States is in decline,” He added that in the days after the attack, he heard from top allied officials who “were concerned about the health of our democracy.”
On January 7 and to this day, Trump refuses to say the election is over. He remains fixated on disproven lies of fraud and a stolen election. This video shows a soon-to-be former president taping a speech the day after his failed coup. “But this election is now over — Congress has certified the results…” Trump says in an outtake. “I don’t want to say the election is over, I just want to say Congress has certified the results without saying the election is over.”

20 JUL 22: I finally gave up. Not fighting it any more. For three-and-a-half years, all this time, I’ve been struggling to recover from a lumbar nerve root damage injury that is not going to get better. Considering how the c-Spine progressed over the years, I only hope the lumbar doesn’t go retrograde at some point. No amount of massage, stretching, rehab or exercise of any kind has ever shown anything but fleeting temporary relief. Drugs, pharmaceutical or otherwise, are only a thin veil of suppression. So I’ve resigned myself to establishing a new lifestyle using a cane or brace any time I need to be on my feet more than ten minutes, and spending at least half my waking hours resting when I’m not. Memory of those days is fading, but it literally feels like I’ve been on my feet all day every time I sit down.
