MA Made Billions Quick

IIRC, it took Colorado three years to surpass one $Billion in revenue, putting Massachusetts at around double our growth rate, back in the day. Liars don’t figure, and figures don’t lie. Wonder how long it takes the rest of the country to get onboard? Probably depends mostly on stuff like distractions with abortion rights, immigration – things most important to psycho conservatives.

Pound-for-pound, more valuable than gold.

Denver Superspreader Engaged

Everybody’s excited to see Teddy Bridgewater begin the Denver portion of his NFL career at this season’s last preseason game tonight. The interesting part to me is the Mile High Covid guidance. Un-vaxxed are “strongly encouraged” to mask up. Seriously? They didn’t care about it before, what makes anybody think they do now? It’ll also be interesting to see how many breakthrough cases come out of it.

Enjoy the game, and good luck!

Latest Symptom Log entry:

25 AUG 21: A month on from hyperemesis and I’m pretty miserable, irritable and hurting 24×7. Sleep loss has become an issue once again. Can’t really say Cannabis is addictive or harmful in any way whatsoever, as far I am concerned. I can sense the headspace with tolerance enabling me to over-use, as well as how it seems to affect my nervous system long-term, generally speaking. I’ll be starting up again, soon as it feels completely cleared. The fat-soluble nature of the active ingredients must allow it to build up to the point of excess. Probably many other unknown factors in the CB receptor realm, as well. I’ll keep better cognizance on how much I’m using instead of just continuously saturating myself with it.

America is Full of Selfish, Racist Holy Rollers

The kids are attempting a return to school with predicted results falling out everywhere. The problem is obvious. It was the same pushback we saw against BLM last year when “all lives mattered” and psycho suburbanites brandished guns at protesters. A significant portion of our population are selfish idiots who care only about themselves.

Now the protests contain angry parents who, in the face of recent history and overwhelming scientific evidence, still do not get how their rights end where public health begins. We’ll learn this one the hard way, as well. Many students across the country will soon be two years behind.

Ignorance is one thing, but willful ignorance is something wholly different. At least the biggest death demographic contains mostly anti-vaxx MAGA voters.

It’s worse since this reading, including many more younger victims with Delta raging.

Time to Pay Up

The toll could be heavy. Choking on your own phlegm is pricey. Most will be billed with ongoing frustration attempting to live a normal life, with pandemic restrictions being re-introduced in many places across the country now. I encourage administrators of all public and semi-public facilities and services to charge a monetary price. That it’s starting in West Virginia of all places, is telling.

Get vaxxed or run your own risk. The rest of us are done with you.

The Rule of Law

…means the rule of money and power in the United States of America. “The Law” means only what the rich and powerful’s lawyers say it means. Look no further than the impeachment hearings or the upshot of the ongoing opioid crises.

Accountability is rare. Law is weak, and justice an elusive apparition.

Judge for yourselves.

Symptoms Log entry from a few days ago:

3 AUG 21: A week on recovering from Cannabis hyperemesis, “symptoms” takes on a whole new meaning. It’s a pretty stark before/after contrast with/without medication. Weed definitely tamps down the radiculopathy symptoms. Ability to better maintain balance on my feet seems to be positively affected, but that could be hyperemesis aftermath. The psychological aspect might be even more important – not being constantly distracted and depressed with paralysis and pain. Inflammation symptoms with the bad joints was totally gone until yesterday, from as far back as I can remember. That stuff was a minor annoyance compared to what I’m dealing with since the malpractice.

The Republican Party is a Death Cult

Stark differences between Jonestown and Mar-a-Lago exist, however one similarity that certainly also does is loyalty to Dear Leader. That’s the core criteria for any cult. Repugs are there.

Yesterday Florida governor DeSuckass stood at the press conference podium and wailed “we are protecting your jobs…” as his mask PROHIBITION leads to the worst ER overflows ever, with patients in hallways and staff decimated. You have to wonder what jobs will be left when the dust settles.

Florida sets all-time record for Covid admissions. It no longer matters what side of the Covid controversy fence you fall – vaxxed or not, everybody is fucked.

Arkansas governor regrets mask mandate ban.

Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome

Had to take ambulance ride for an IV and Covid test today. It was inevitable. It took about 5 years of daily edible doses of CBD flower, regular vaping and knocking myself out with dabs at night to finally catch up with me.

I probably should have taken a break a month ago. The weed issue for me all along revolved around being able to use enough to get a good therapeutic effect on the radiculopathy and muscle strain without being blotto all the time. Early on, it was just inflammation and pain from the bad joints. Then I was treated to a partial right leg paralysis with accessories in a malpractice episode a couple years ago.

Warning to prospective Hyperemesis candidates: Despite not being too dangerous from a medical standpoint, it’s no joke. The possibility of going untreated and dying from dehydration or aspirating vomit is concerning. I was the worst sick I have ever been for about 10 hours and could not keep anything down 24 hours after it started. BP ranged up over 150-something during seizures and body temp dropped to 94 at one point – almost in shock. The condition seemed to light up my entire CNS in gag reflex – particularly uncomfortable with the spine injuries. And it continued relentlessly, vomiting or not.

Everything in moderation.

It’s not technically “an” overdose in the traditional sense of the word. Maybe something akin to a long-term overdose. It doesn’t kill you outright like opiates, but develops over months or even years in my case, depending on usage patterns. The important thing to remember is to recognize it. It’s one of the body’s natural auto-protect reactions. As long as you can hydrate and maintain for a few days you’ll get over it, no problem. Mine was so bad I could not even keep water down. Time for an IV.

Available research is inconclusive, and I suspect even the doctors do not really understand it, as the endocannabanoid issue has gone largely un-addressed in the medical field forever. My layman impression suggests the system gets too saturated from the constant over-supply, until it finally goes haywire. Probably not enough viable CB receptors available at some point. The ER took a bunch of tests and confirmed there was nothing they could do but stabilize and send me home. And I don’t have Covid. Yay!

This 10-year-old NHS paper gives a decent overview of the chemo-mechanical relationships, but lacks definitive explanation or conclusions.

(Late Update 30 JUL 21) Ondanseteron stops the puking, but the delirium and bedspins continue. I thought I would be over it today, but it came back strong this morning and I spent most of the day trying to nap and hydrate.

Most concerning symptoms: Once you get over the scromiting, body temp regulation gets iffy with ongoing hot/cold flashing. Nausea is intense.

1 AUG 21: Feeling better today, have a little appetite, body temp regulation still iffy with hot/cold spells. It’s gonna take awhile to get completely over this.

3 AUG 21: Seem pretty much over it today after a week. Thermal reg still not quite there, but the flashing hot/cold spells are gone.

4 AUG 21: In retrospect, it’s now clear what made my case so acute: The hot tub. I do all my bathing there, along with some PT including a breathing exercise for the nerve roots. A little research on the topic reveals how hyperemesis patients often develop compulsive bathing/showering habits to alleviate their symptoms. I learned that a couple hours before I went to the hospital – it’s what set me over the tipping point after I tried it! I had no need to develop an OCD behavior, because it was already there in normal activity. Maintaining stable body temp remains the only symptom today. I’m not sweating bullets while puking into the kitchen sink, but the internal temp control mechanism was probably front-and-center leading up to this little episode all along.

Is Mississippi ALL Troglodyte?

You have to wonder, when the best they can do is petition the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v Wade, while their state leads the country in the now out-of-control so-called 4th Covid-19 wave. You’d think they’d have better things to do with over half their population vulnerable to the most deadly respiratory virus to stalk the planet in modern times.

“But this week, the state reframed its argument, abandoning its earlier and narrower attack, to take direct aim at Roe and its holding that women have a constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy before the fetus is able to survive outside the womb.”

ERs maxed. people dying in droves? Look – a rabbit!

the state’s brief “reveals the extreme and regressive strategy, not just of this law, but of the avalanche of abortion bans and restrictions that are being passed across the country.”

Late Update: Florida passed them up overnight. Big surprise.
