Getting all jazzed up about an assault weapons ban seems a bit misguided to me. Perhaps consider the facts, if you’re really worried about gun crime generally speaking. I haven’t looked into the overall crime stats vs. just homicides or vetted the data presented by the Columbus Law Firm, but it’s cited as of 2019 below, so likely legit.

Yeah, I get that legacy recording formats are making a comeback, but why? I have a little collection of vinyl music recordings that were played only once for the purpose of cassette transfer. There’s also a bookcase full of CDs in the collection, none of which can be expected to last. Timelines differ, significantly in some respects, but depending on things like storage environment and playing time, they’re little more than historical curiosities at this point. Practically speaking from a music storage and reproduction standpoint, CDs are just fragile little plastic discs, vulnerable to use and abuse. I saved a brand new cartridge for the turntable, assuming I won’t be able to get one when the time comes. The weird part is using it would just inflict damage on the records.
And the hardcore enthusiasts will argue digital isn’t real enough.
Rippin’ some old plastic for the ongoing music collecting hobby while waiting to start work on the car. It should warm up pretty good for the first time in a couple weeks today. Bet not many have heard this UK version of the Tull classic:
Another emminent guitar hero has passed on. My eardrums have been excited to feel his riffs more often than most over the years – truly one of the era’s handful of guitar-slinging greats.

Everybody has their issues, but it all boils down to two things. Letterman had a unique way of getting to the crux of matters.
