I first raised my great big NFL eyebrow after Payton began the Denver portion of his career throwing shade on his predecessor. Then he gets things fairly well fucked-up, blaming a 6-time pro bowler being stupid. The guy is obviously a total fuckwit, but thanks for payin’ Russel to play for Pittsburgh. It’s gonna be fun teaching this lesson.

Payton then clashed with quarterback Russell Wilson throughout the 2023 campaign and was seen visibly screaming at Wilson at times. Eventually, Payton ended up benching Wilson for the final two games of the season after the veteran signal-caller declined to defer his injury guarantee.
