Bomb Cyclone

Looks like we are having the perfect storm today. They call it a “bomb cyclone” when the pressure drops more than 20-some millibars in 1 day. Add that to a real Albuquerque low soaked with tons of Pacific Baja moisture and we get a big one. Only saving grace for the morning commute was it’s too warm to snow at this location just yet, but we expect to have more than 5 inches before the day is done. The mountains have been seriously buried since January with lots more snow coming up there today after dumping all last night. Eastern plains are under a blizzard warning for the next 24 hours. Keeping my fingers crossed the temperature holds up…
