Love-Hate Relationships

I have one with The Sun. It’s makin’ alot of my electricity these days, and one of the reasons we moved to Colorado in the first place – the always great sunny weather. But I’m an old white boy, so it’s hard on my skin and it’s probably gonna slow-cook us all before it’s over if people don’t start pulling their heads out.

Two Colorado electric cooperatives and the Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association are in line for about $1.1 billion in grants and loans to speed the transition to renewable energy and soften the impact on rates.

Building Codes should mandate these anywhere practical, with accelerated pressure on carbon. Oil pumping needs to become prohibitively expensive, and ultimately illegal for anybody but the government.
